Maldivian Democracy Network (Maldives)
I aim to give a platform for deliberately marginalised communities, which are excluded and denied a voice. I have been working with families of survivors to engage with and request assistance from international organisations. As a human rights lawyer working with the Maldivian Democracy Network, I have gained exposure into the drivers of political violence and repression, and ways in which we can counter those forces more effectively. My focus is to use that knowledge to improve the human rights situation in the country.
